Transfer news

Postby Chelsea Tudor » Fri Jan 29, 2010 4:52 pm

Does anyone know what is going on at Vauxhall Road Yads and Bernard are released when I think they have been two of our better players this season and another unknown signing to replace them apparently a winger when we are crying out for a STRIKER.Has Gary Phillips got any other contacts apart from Grays and Barnet as these seem to be our only sources for players.

So Yeboah goes yet we keep McEntegart, Bernard goes yet we give games to Daniel Charge, this club goes from bad to worse. Pissed off big time.

It does piss you off Steve and makes you wonder if the club has any ambition to stay in this league.

I think the answer to that is that they dont want to be in this league, There are clearly problems behind the scenes and the vibe around the club is awful at the moment, By releasing a couple of our best players seems to me to be sending out a message that the money is not there and the wage bill has got to be cut even further, The players that have come in recently have not overly impressed me and with us fighting relegation ( or are we?) and the budget situation means were clearly not going to attract the quality needed to survive at this level :(

perhaps that's why dave employed phillips with the express aim to get us relegated. last week we had no-one to score our goals now we've still got that plus no-one to try and stop them being conceded. god help us if we've got to rely on captain hoofball to stem the flow of opposition attacks.

Looks like a throw of the dice perhaps. Two good players who shouldnt be playing in a relegation threatened side - gone. Loan player in from Barnet yet our record on handling them is awful (Lewis?). Must be down to trying to find some room in the budget. I dont think for a moment the commitee want to go down. But even I am beginning to despair.

wow yeboah has gone, he has been effective in half the games i have seen at vauxhall road this season. I clearly dislike McEntegart, he is the weakest link in the team, and an embarrasment as captain, when we have the likes of granville + black in the team.Yads might not be the quickest of players but he is solid, whereas McEntegart has no clue and constantly loses the ball. Im so disappointed yads has gone, i can understand bernard leaving

With all the disappointments we have had to put up with this season I read this forum in the hope that there will be cause for optimism. I see a thread that says Transfer news and hope that we've done something positive and that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

And then this.

Has someone lost their marbles? I agree with what Phillips said earlier in the week. Some of our players are not good enough at this level and changes needed to be made. I didn't realise the changes were getting rid of the players that were good enough at this level! One of our centre backs is not up to this level of football, and it's not Yads. It also seems clear that I'm not the only one who has thought this.

As others have said, I can almost understand Bernard moving on. He has been one of our better players but has not really made the most of his chances.

Until this evening I thought we had a chance against Stourbridge...

I just hope somenone knows what they are doing because letting our strongest defender go when we need to stop conceeding stupid goals doesn't seem very clever to me.

Can't understand WHY Yads has been released.....i thought he had been one of the better performs this season. :? :?

I thought we had a chance of staying up, albeit a slim one, but now , down by march.Just can't see where the goals and points are going to come from.

Very sad times ahead at Vauxhall Road :( :(
