Wanted: a Berkhamsted boss 'for the game, not the gain'
Berkhamsted Town FC is still searching for a new chairman, almost three months after Guillermo Ganet quit.
The Spanish boss, who acted as joint chair and treasurer, resigned at the end of August after a vote of no confidence against him.
And this week, the Lilywhites board revealed it is still searching for a successor.
Club secretary Keith Hicks said: "I think the problem is there's no money to be made.
"We just hope that somebody in the area will come forward for the love of the game, rather than the gain."
He added: "We're looking for someone who's got a good background knowledge of local football, and also some business contacts that could bring some sponsorship to the club."
Mr Hicks said Berkhamsted was finding it hard to make money from ticket sales because the side's current league covers such a large area, making it difficult to pull large crowds from teams based miles away.
The board member added that the Lilywhites were also looking for a new treasurer, reserve team secretary and general committee members.
On Saturday, the Lilywhites make the long trip down to Gloucestershire to take on Cinderford Town - a side that lost 8-1 on Saturday.
Cinderford might have lost 8-1 last week but were still good enought to beat the rock bottom Berks 4-3
