Fabio Valenti and Fergus Moore both turned out for Leyton yesterday. No surprise as Steve Newing is manager there now.

Found this on the Corby forum, one of there fans views on Leon Hibbert, made me chuckle....

"Hi All, i HAVE BEEN REDING THE POSTS WITH A LOT OF INTEREST, I HAVE TO SAY I FEEL GUTTED FOR ROBBIE, OUR CURRENT PLAYER OF THE YEAR, AND RELEASED, TO BE REPLACED BY A 6ft.4 PLAYER WHO COULDNT CONTROL A BAG OF CEMENT, he couldnt get a game with hemel, and we take him, when his only strength is heading, and at his height so it should be , he cant pass, he is lanky andweak for a big lad, i think i have seen enough of him to pass this comment, but for me it is a step backwards not forward"

Charlie Mapes is playing this season at Hendon with another ex-Tudor James Bent.

Apparently Welwyn Garden City FC have signed... Grant Carney

Grant Carney played for Caddington against Corinthians last Saturday.

Darren Grieves has been playing pre-season for Harrow Borough - i wonder if he'll line up against us in the cup?

From the Berko web site...

....Another 5 goal performance moved Berko back into the league's top 5 as they demolished newly promoted Haringey Borough with Ashley Addison grabbing a hat trick at Broadwater on Saturday.
....Shane Wood who was with Dunstable Town last season came in at centre back and scored on his debut and Sam Styles also made his debut, in goal, after being promoted from the reserve side that beat Boreham Wood in midweek,

Not after this latest result......

Berko thrashing 'embarrassing'

Published Date: 27 August 2008
By Jake Rusby

Berkhamsted boss Rob Butler was 'embarrassed' by his side's latest result.

The Lilywhites were on the wrong end of a 7-2 thrashing from Chalfont St Peter, and put in the kind of second half performance he and fellow joint-manager Ian Richardson will be wanting to forget.

"Being 3-2 down was a fair result at half time," Butler said. "We just didn't turn up for the second half.

"We were just dreadful. I was embarrassed we were that bad.
