Bellamy is having another operation on a stomach muscle problem - Zamora is playing in the next reserve game. I dont think we'll see too much of Bellamy (or Scott Parker) this season. Considering the injuries we've had we cant complain about where we are to be honest. Wink

I agree, especially given what happened last season too.

Maybe if West Ham put in the same effort against the other 18 teams that they put in against Manchester United, they might do a bit better for themselves.

"by jove" I think you may have something there ! Shocked I,ll just give Mr Curbushley a call ! Laughing

Do you think the same applies to Hemel who have taken 4 points off Kings Lynn this season ! Confused

Seriously - Man Utd didn't really turn up at Upton Park this (or last) season. They were very poor. The funny thing is that they could still have taken all three points - Mr R missing a penalty was nearly as good as Mr Defoe doing the same thing when we played Spuds ! Laughing Laughing

Annoyingly, Hemel taking 4 points off Kings Lynn is more or less the same, I suppose - put in the effort against a "big team" and don't bother against the "little" teams. I'm not saying it's all attitude that has made us so crap this season, but it must be a factor somewhere.

I think you may be right. It must be human nature - if you think about it - Man Utd are also prone to doing it (against us usually ! Laughing ) They think they are in for an easy 3 points and therefore dont start the game in their normal manner. Its difficult to get out of that mindset once the game has started. Arsenal did it last season against us. It happens at all levels - my Sunday football team (who were a very decent side) always turned it on against the better teams but usually lost against a lower league team in the cup and a bottom of the table side in the league.
Cost us many a trophy over the years ! Evil or Very Mad
