I must admit i was astounded that Coulson got back in time to clear that one.
I thought Gloucester should have won today and am grateful that they were so wasteful in front of goal.
Oh well....Bedford next |

From current season records...
ROBERTS, DREW (FORWARD)
Apps (Sub Apps in bkts):
Friendlies 05, League 27, Cups 11(01), TOTAL 43(01)
Goals (of which Pens scored in bkts):
Friendlies 06(1P), League 09(2P), Cups 12(3P), TOTAL 27(6P) |
9 league goals in 27 appearances,Chris Dillons 2 goals in 14 games is an even worse return. At some clubs this sort of return would get you dropped, perhaps a couple of games in the capital league team would sharpen them up. Harry Hunt must be wondering how he doesn't get a starting place, surely he's worth a try,he can't be any worse.... _________________ FOYSC |

| It's no wonder we're not winning games when our strikers have that kind of return, then again it's not like they're getting any service... |

if we are to persist with the present two up front then we must get someone in who can get the ball to them,no-one at present seems able to get down the wing and beat players to give them the service.
i know it's been said befor but our only route to the forward's at present seem's to be high balls down the middle, and, with the best will in the world they are not going to win headers against towering centre backs.
in the past i think we've been spoilt with goal scoring forwards who you could rely on to get us 25 or more league goals a season, anthony thomas and bryan hammett spring to mind.
the difference with these players is that hammett got the service and thomas was able to turn a game all by himself and score some incredible goals,i doubt we'll see the likes of him again.
of course it helped anthony no-end playing alongside gary sippetts who also weighed in with a good goal scoring return and his willingness to run and run made it easier for anthony to score all those goals. |

I find it absolutely asstounding how you (tapper mainly) can persist with this quite frankly personal tirade against Drew Roberts. If you take his 20 something goals away where would we be then. I know the sippetts/sinclair situation is touchy and im as frustrated as anyone else that these players were allowed to leave the club but how many goals did Sippetts score when he was playing at the start of the season. Not alot.Drew would be the first person to tell you he is not in great form at the min but other people have touched on it the service to the front two is non existant. The likes of Thierry Henry and Rooney wouldnt score in our side at the min.
Look at the start of the season when our strikers were getting some form of service. It was goals galore.
The likes of Drew and Chris Dillon are very good players and they dont become bad players overnight.
The problem is not the front two.
How many crosses have we put in the box in the last 10 matches (didnt go to swindon)? From my memory not alot.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion but more often than not we are digging out the wrong players/player.
i just hope we turn it around very soon but getting on players backs is not the way to do it. Lets get behind the team. |

er... since when do i "tirade" against anyone?
Get your facts straight please before you start accusing me of something.
My earlier post meerly answered Steve's question regarding Drew's stats this season, nothing else as far as i can see. |

Just for the sake of completeness:
From current season records:
SIPPETTS, GARRY (FOR)
Apps (+ sub apps in bkts)
Friendlies 04, League 05(02), Cups 01(01), Total 10(03)
Goals (Inc pens in bkts)
Friendlies 05(1P), League 02, Cups 00, Total 07(1P)
This does not include the "own goal" awarded to him in the Rugby Town (H) match by other sources
(OCTOBER LEFT & JOINED BARTON ROVERS) |

you go on about everyones entitled to their opinion, well let tapps have his! this is an unofficial forum for gods sake.
If Drew or any player for that matter will answer his critics it will be by their performances which will be evident in the next couple of weeks. Pathetic how people jump on seasoned supporters like tapps, steve etc when they criticize they get hounded.
sorry but if players cant take the critisisum then they dont deserve the praise either. _________________ WALKA FOR CLUBMAN OF THE YEAR 2008

I feel we are right to voice our opinions, we pay to see HHTFC so we have a right to say something, wether its a direct go at a player or not. We have got some good and some bad players, i,m sure SB knows this, but this is a FANS forum and things need to be said to get frustration of a bad season out.
Must wean myself off these bob martins |

I think its Fred Barnes !
Seriously though - I think we have to accept that this season has now become one of consolidation. We could always try and get Dean Ashton on loan until May. He needs to get his fitness levels up - he's been a waste of space in the Premiership recently ! |
